Got a text from a friend asking if i wanted to go fishing this evening. Said im there! Took my daughter out for her first outing on the river. Up till now she has only paddles around lakes. Took her through a few low key rapids and she did great! The bridge in the last pic goes under water every now and then when it floods.

That looks awesome!!!

It reminded me of a fossil hunting trip I that I did on the Peace River in Florida. If I can find a couple pics I'll post later today.

So....when I was at dunefest I had spark plug issues with the banshee, porcelain cracked, in the process of trying to figure out what was causing it, I kind of found the problem one of my carburetors has an issue, and I don’t know what the problem is but I decided to switch to another set of carburetors and modify them for alcohol. What a difference it made, I’m getting a more consistent tune out of them, and good plug the readings now, with the exact same set up just a different set of carbs! LOL went out and tested it today and it pulls like a freight train right off the bat! Super excited to do a little racing now! I am using China knock offs, The first set was constant issues, hoping these work better, but I’m not going down that road ever again! The float seat on the carburetor is dangerously undersized, I measured the stock seat at .109and the genuine

It would be so cool to see you guys taking a rip in the sand. I wouldn't even have to ride.

I got lucky on a cheapo carb kit on my scrambler. About 1000 miles on the quad and ran the same since I got it the with 150 miles. Rebuilt the carb because it was leaking. I made no adjustments other than idle and gained 2-3 mph on the top end and feels like it takes off better. I'm not sure what is different. Maybe the carb was gunked up from the time that I purchased.

Local guy in town had a big maple taken down and had a sign "Free wood" by the road. There were a few guys there working fast on the large branches taking it for firewood. I wasnt going to get in their way and it was high noon, full sun and pushing into mid 80's. I came back after 6 when it started cooling off and they had worn themselves and their chains out. I watched them burn up a Stihl 660 with a 36" bar because the chain was dull. Then they cooked the coil out of a 372, again with a dull chain. Meanwhile I made their ears bleed with my ported 288. Then showed them what a sharp chain can do with 99cc of Husqvarna behind it.

2 batches of elderberry jelly. Only had 2 cups of juice left so added rest water 1 cup and did another batch with no pectin, same sugar and boiled it 4 min instead of 2 as for syrup. Elderberry ice tea in the picture. It's really good!!!
