That’s great Andrew! I love trucks from the 60s and 70s.
Is there a reason why 4 axle trucks are fairly common in the UK? We saw a few here and there back home, but mostly dump trucks and crane trucks. Very few to no flatbeds.

We had the axle weight limits and GVW come in several yrs ago and it was increased in 1999 basicly it works like this
2-axle rigid 18 ton
3-axle rigid 26ton
4-axle rigid 32ton
Yes there’s always been a lot of flatbeds over the years I think it’s been tradition
For decades 4 axles flat bed all loads roped and sheeted also In winter
Cattle containers would go on and hay straw In the summer and also 6m containers fit on the body with twist locks

Caught 1 of 2 trash panda youngsters. My vegetarian fiance had to give him some strawberries before he went for a car ride!

That sounds very familiar. Those are the same weights as in Norway. I’m actually going back home to get my commercial drivers license renewed in a couple of weeks.

Big auction thirty miles away in the morning. I am conflicted! No idea what is at auction, solo two cylinder that they don't have listed 100 +cc PH; tools I can use at deep discount. Or can I allow this to sit unmolested by the other wood vultures I compete with at times. 30" día x 59" long. Or will these suffice if the fattest is taken?IMG_20180713_194248.jpg
Same trunk I believe or dew I want to be greedy & go after all of it, risking my health in this weather?
Yard waste dump reality show? Prolly not:pancarta: . Woodn't have this conflict if I'd measured it before I emptied the van to make room. Could have loaded minimum of milling stuff to take a 9" slice off the top edge to bring the weight down enough. About 1300# & I am trying to stay under a thousand.:nusee:

If their is a chance to get a Solo twin you grab a knife, gun or 2x4 with nails in it and go GET it.

@Dub11 I often go with the idea that I may miss out on a desireable item. Made the 60+ mile round trip for that reason. Last year's auction in the park had four or five times as much area covered by more interesting goods.
At least the heat kept other wood vultures away from the log I'll mill before the others in the pile.
