Yes I will have too make a new trail this time big enough for a small tractor
In March once the authorities have given the green light there will be a big winch the other side of the river and these trees will be cut and winched across there’s probably another 20+ that are leaning over ready to fall so once a bit of funding comes through will get a dolmar or three out of hibernation

Since October we’ve had so many wet days the river been nearly Bank high for months so I would say in our 600yds there is 1/4 acre gone in the water

this is the fields opposite side the farmer is happy to pull the wood up there until its dry enough to collect in the spring

Eroded and lost but this river is a good salmon spawning river and a good sea trout run and so much red tape to even put razor wire up for the farm animals years ago you could just take a swing shovel in the river on a low water day
do the job finished
Now if you done that without a permit you would be in less trouble if you robbed a bank

Yes that was the plan when we cut the big trees off was going to plant some willow whips and alders on the banks and back maybe 10-12 feet

Never heard of knot weed, but probably similar, as it is from Japan. Very invasive, I believe originally imported for erosion.
