New World Record Paddlefish.
Old record was 70 pounds.
This 90 pounder was speared in Beaver Lake Arkansas.
Arkansas has several world record fish of different species.

Last Feburary in the backyard.
That's not Snow, its Sleet!
All those sticks you see are remnants of a HUGE OAK.
That whole space was a result of that tree going down.
I cut & sold 18 Rick's of wood from it & prolly still have 4-5 Rick's left to cut.
Gonna take a bigger saw than I own to get it tho. Lol

Not my picture but this is the listed as current paddlefish world record. 164 lbs Keystone lake OK. Are they listing it as a record because of the technique?

Loading cattle at 5AM? Bring it on. New lights I put on the trailer light up the holding pens in the corral so it is no problem to see.

DAMN!
They said on the news the Beaver lake fish was the new World Record.
Guess they snagged that one in OK.
The one in Arkansas was speared (scuba spear gun).
That may be the difference.

I tried Paddlefish in Oklahoma once (I'm 30 miles from OK) .
Everyone bragged about how good it was.
"It Taste Like Catfish".
Yeah maybe when your drunk!
Worst tasting fish I ever put in my mouth!

They are filter feeding fish.
Either Snag or Spear are the only options.

Dang.It. Hurricane in the desert while I was in MI…this is what I get for being lazy when it’s hot and using the edge of the basin to dump trailers with the forklift. Pump it out, let it dry, clean up the wet wood mess…. Usually when it rains it’s just dirty water but this is black, green, and funky smelling…

I'm too tired to think some times. This is the largest we have ever boated. I did a tare on the scale with the harness and hook before the weight. My youngest brought it in in march of 2021. Gotta eat them fresh and cut all the red fatty meat from them. They are good smoked if you brine them for a while before hand.

Nice! I'm a gear head/audiophile too. I have systems everywhere. Home set-up is Harman Kardon Citation 21,22,23 w/ Klipsch Chorus II's that I bought new when I lived at home '89-90ish. Work set up has a Yamaha receiver w/ 4 Klipsch bookshelfs and a homemade sub, garage has a Kenwood receiver w/ Pioneer speakers, basement has a Klipsch ProMedia set up w/ an iPod. Don't get me started on car audio..
