My cars summer tires, even though I rotate them every year front to rear/rear to front (NOT left to right/right to left!) the difference in wear between the tires is noticeable.

Random thought: I think I will get new summer tires next year/summer, these are on their fifth season and they felt slippy in the rain last summer.
I'll see how these will perform throughout this summer and go from there.

Pfft if they hold air why replace them.

Just drive slower.

I'm heading up north Saturday to Steve's.
That truck is nicer to drive than my plow truck.
Will $5 be enough to cover a sack kick?

I tend to drive to traffic regulations.
And, I have been behind slowpokes during imperfect weather conditions, it is annoying.

A new set of good tires is cheaper than my health/well being - it is a small price to pay to stay safer in modern chaotic traffic. :)

When it does snow around here people tend to drive slow after the streets are cleared.

Regulations are over rated.

Summer tires don't fare well even on clean tarmac at freezing temperatures.
I can only imagine how bad some of those "long run" tires behave in the cold.

I have watched YT videos featuring drivers in cold and snowy weather, I bet most of those vehicles are not set up for winter.

So I had a beetle infestation on my spruce stand and then combined with some hurricanes and ice storms, we got a domino effect and lost pretty much 2 acres to blowdown. Here is a before picture, the circled tree is the singular maple in the after picture, just for reference. Planted 1500 red pine in there just finished today. Next spring will be another 1-2 acre area behind it that’s starting to do the same.

Lucas is snake oil! Fight me!

oil thread!

Looks like a lot of extra loss in efficiency. oil in newer engines exspecially gdi use it for cooling also. Thick and sticky oil probably won't do well in an oil cooler. So if the oil is being stuck to all my moving parts then what is left for the oil pump to suck up? Most cars don't have an engine air pressure gauge. I don't want to blow off an air filter!

I bought this kit from an eBay auction a few years ago after looking periodically for about 5 years! This was the first rc kit I built over 20 years ago. Decided it's time to stop putting it off and get it built. My son was directing me where to start!
