My ‘99 is a 53 block with the VP44 (original) and my truck is at 376k and climbing everyday. Some were built better than others.
My '95 has an early or late, can't remember, 53 block in it. We measured the thickness and it was OK.

To all you 5.9 cummins lovers.
Google 53 block and vp44,, and that auto trans,,the killer dowel pin aka KDP
Had all,, ran that dodge rite outta money.
5.9 great engine i guess.
Some junk is better than other junk
Had an ‘06 5.9 common rail with the g-56 trans. Had to replace two injectors around 100k miles, and also replaced the stock clutch. Really never had any other issues with the engine or trans. And injectors were cheap & super easy to replace.

And the damn thing got 20+ mpg on the highway.

Thanks fellas! I was pretty impressed myself!

You would think after 20 years in the hobby I would be a better pilot. I'm not! But I've got lots of experience in repair!:D
Do you have any videos of it flying? I have always wanted to get into the airplanes but i know i would crash so sruck to ground rcs lol

Not of this one. I have some other older videos on my YouTube channel of past planes.

A lot of planes now have gyroscopes in them for pilot assistance. They help out the inexperienced flyer tremendously. You can buy add on gyros too. I just bought another one last night for a new plane I bought yesterday. I'd never be able to fly the new plane without it!

Here is the gyro I got for $25 bucks. I hook it up to a 3 position switch on the transmitter so I can switch the modes from beginner, intermediate, and off any anytime.

Gotta keep the Mrs going! ...actually that’s a lie. She would have kept using this thing until the wash tub fell on the floor! Glad I was home and heard the bearings screaming for mercy! New bearings and seals today. They claim 7 hr job - so far 2.5hrs in and already putting back together. Hopefully the rest goes smoothly!

I got a 99 because of the 53 block.
Dually 5 speed extended cab.
Found a complete non 53 block for a deal. Took a chance it it had no history, runs great. Into the truck for under $2000.00 if you don’t count my time.
Mine came from a USA school bus, I think it was a 55 block. less that 2k after I sold all the extra part, but not a fun job.
