1st one I've seen Asian Hornet long stinger
He was on the back of a fence post I was just about put staples in I out my hand the back right on him and it fell too the floor

I think it could be something else. That looks like an egg laying probe found on various wasp/hornet like insects. Some have a much longer one. The stinger would be smaller in diameter and black and possibly flexible like a tail.

We get those on the big fires a lot - Smoky Horntail and Pigeon Horntail. They lay their eggs in rotting wood - mostly old stumps or downed logs and the smoke
and heat from fires brings them out and stimulates their reproductive cycle. There were many rumors of these bugs laying eggs in people's skin but I think it was
all hogwash - they're not really attracted to people, although they will land on you because they're attracted to heat.
