I used to pass that spot on my way to work at the print shop for 20 years, then the bike shop for 4, and still do part time. The smell is so good!

I took my wife there in 2019 for the tour. I rolled the windows down when we where getting close. She asked why I did that and I told her you'll see!

Replacing fuel pumps in optimax. If seal is cracked it can't build pressure.

Getting the banshee ready for some testing tomorrow. Changing domes, and changing the clutch. Going to take the r too an see how the 265 dose with a smaller main jet! It was pig rich for break in.

Went scrapping today. 12,000 pounds of mixed yeilded me $670. Scrapped a few converters for $400! I'd say that's a productive day.

Do they make you separate it all out based off what it is?
The yards here do. Drop off all of "whatever " then hit scale, go back and drop off next whatever..etc

Nope! They don't pay as much obviously, but I just want it gone. I had it all cleaned up a few years ago but then when I cut up my truck there was a new pile. Then I kept throwing stuff in the pile. Then I got lazy and stared at it a few years untill yesterday I decided to get my azz in gear and clean this mess up!

The only things I try to collect and scrap on purpose is converters and lead batteries.

Converters and batteries are rare for me to get, every one I see has a damn core charge on it.
That's why I just go the brake rotors route. Easy to stack and store and they usually bring ok money.

We (the shop) collects all scrap to pay for delivery truck maintaince. But every once in a while one or two end up somewhere else...

We try to keep a junk battery or two back just for core charge. Hitting $20 around here and $20 is $20.
