FDE3174C-0314-4279-B42D-F12C8773900F.jpeg Had a problem with the drag bike, the new billet second gear was not compatible with a standard Neutral transmission, apparently they need to have first gear removed to work properly. I had to find out on my own, the hard way… Was pre-revving my bike to get it warmed up and start to rev it to redline after warmed up, it decided to pop into second gear on its own narrowly avoided disaster! It literally wedged between the bumper of my truck and the ground! No damage! It took a while to figure it out, and I had to split the cases! B8341A80-3B08-4FFD-B355-EAE84C51639E.jpegThe new second gear web is slightly thicker than stock, and most people remove first gear apparently in their override transmissions, there was no interference with light spinning of the transmission, but with a small amount of force the engagement dogwood touch the inner web of second gear, that interference would be enough to move the shift fork and cause it to fall off it’s ramp into second gear! Figured that out Wednesday night after avoiding disaster, had to wait for my buddy to Tigue the clip for the idle gear as another insurance policy, he got that done at 3:30 on Thursday, but the motor together and have everything installed in the bike by 730. Fired it up the next day at lunch break! Everything was good to go! Had already booked dyno time for Saturday! 63C23AEC-7877-487B-A4D1-B39BCE55BD08.jpeg07307C66-7F25-49A0-9946-FEFFDBE66A4E.jpeg 946E026C-425E-4233-AFA3-0B25B478242B.jpeg

And on the lie detector...08A68A03-9115-4D42-87CD-DB258D4F6993.jpeg BA580A30-2EAF-402E-8603-70474F9CA502.jpeg had done crazy issues! The cdi box was the problem, at least today! The bike only made 95HP on the first pull a small amount tun made it break the hundred HP mark, super disappointed! Had to rethink the strategy, my buddy had a brand new coil so we threw that on there to see if it would help and I brought a Dynatech program will CDI to test as well… The bike instantly gained! Made 110, then added some more timing with the cdi and it gained 6 more! I decided to pull the head and swap domes, went from 170 to 190psi, then it pulled 119! Did some tuning to break 120/65 and the torque is really flat and wide. I think there’s still more power in there, I will have to do some thinking and analyzing. For fun I swap back to different CDI’s and right after making 120, the bike made 90 with the original cdi, Clearly the spark energy was not enough for the new motor, and the increased compression made that even more difficult, and resulted in the losses with the stock CDI, pretty crazy, I really think it might be my stater this actually causing that issue!! Clearly the spark energy was not enough for the new motor, and the increased compression made that even more difficult! as a side note the bottom curve on the dyno is for slip, my clutch is probably toast, or it slips on the dyno

i also need to pull timing at 10.5k, the timing curve flattens off and needs to keep falling to maintain overrev, the power drops off like a wall because
