This lil senorita is giving me some ideas. But I'll try and keep it PG13 here.
I got 'American pancake mix' on hand(because what passes for pancakes in Europe will literally make you cry as an American). Anyways, I may try this:

Also, if I run in to that SHetland pony woman on a flight, I am gonna punch them both.
Bro. Let me save you from potential disaster. Depending on your pancake mix, it might be sweetened. That could be a disaster. Bisquick would be OK.

Mix up a simple cornmeal batter instead. I like Jiffy, but that's probably not lurking on the shelves of Ireland.

Homemade dip to try? :
2 cups cornmeal
2 cups AP flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup + a couple tablespoons of milk (adjust to get the right thickness)
2 tablespoons oil (or melted butter)
1 egg beaten

lightly coat the wieners in cornstarch, dip in the batter, and deep fry.

Good summer weather tip too!

(Yes, I'm 12 at heart!:D)
That's a whole OTHER conversation. LOL.

I remember week one at Penn State marching band practice, the section leader sat the whole group down and said Gold Bond is your friend, whether male or female...

You're worried we don't got Jiffy? I will be amazed if I can find corn starch. The last time I went looking for corn starch the clerk said, 'Ahh, corn starch. Yeah I've heard of it'. I had to go to the asian food shop because asians coat about everthang they make in it, apparently. Tescos might have corn starch, but corn meal I haven't ever seen here. Which is sad as it does add good texture. I like to use it in pizza crustand to dust under the pizza.
Last time I tried this I had a deep fryer, tho. Wife got rid of it :(
I don't blame her, but I did like how her boobs were growing.

Try them with American mustard next. Which, oddly enough, is made by French's.
Colemans is a bit on the hot side to enjoy with a corn dog, I found.
If ya ever find yourself stateside, try a corndog at a county fair. Nothing like it.

That looks tasty wes I only had red pepper and tomato sauce
