How many miles you got on M8 Ed? Reading lots of chit online about oil sumping problems. Mechanic recommended i measure the old oil quantaties to be sure its not one the problem child motors.

I have a little over 9k on mine.
My shop said the saw a few pump issues with the earlier 114's.
The cam went in it at 4k miles. Other than regular maintenance, no problems.

When I opened up my TC88, the shoes fell apart in my hands.
I added a very tame 509 cam, and remapped it, and was happy.
But I had a Dyna - they don't need much oomph.
My friends carbed soft tail is much slower. But it sounds much better.
The EFI ruins the idle on the HD's.
I have to populate the idle position at 5% or so to get it to rumble at all with EFI. At 4% it dies:

ANd this is what it sounds like at warm up:

I would still have the bike if I had a garage and weather and a better knee. It is just way, way too cold and wet here for me to ride it much :( If I were back in Texas, I'd still have it. But I am not a fan of riding a bike in 50* weather in the rain. Just not for me. :(
