Parts for the 576 have arrived from @Spike60 (thank you Sir). I'll install the new decomp and fuel filter, put on a sharp chain with the 2 new bar nutz, and tune her for cutting. I'll figure out what rpm she is strongest at, and then fatten her up.

I'm a fan of sending saws out fat and having the owner tune to the rpm (with their fuel and oil mix) that was strongest in the wood.

Don't have a tach, you say ............ welp, my small contribution to this saw just grew a little bit. I'll be installing a brand new Hardline tach onto it. This way the new owner will know what rpm she is tuned to as well as how many hours the new top end will have on it. I'm also covering the shipping to the new owner.

FYI I'm friend and family with 2 women with breast cancer...one is a 30+ yr survivor and the other an 8 yr.
survivor ....both still going strong...

Cancer treatment has come a long way...there's definitely hope

I just re-read this. I don't believe Dan has shared any amount with the family yet. From what I understand he's resistant to accepting help, but this family is now an extension of the Riff Raff Chainsaw Collective... and we help each other!
