Got the 262 today and hopefully will have it done in the next week.
Work saw or play?

My opinion (for the exactly $0.02 it's worth) is don't port it until the raffle is over and then build it the way the winner wants if that is okay with everyone?

Sweet! We hit $4000 today! Sure would love to see another $4k ;)
Y'all are awesome!!!!

I stumbled across this thread yesterday and I have been giving it some thought as to how I can most effectively contribute within my means. I was sad to hear about Scott’s condition and I can definitely relate because early last year, my father went through the exact same thing last at age 71. Today’s Med's can do wonders and the fact that my father put his normal 15 (new) yearly cords in his wood rack recently is proof of that. But they are expensive for sure. We need as much “Monkey Business” available to us as we can get and besides, us Scotts have to stick together! So to Sarah’s point about total dollars donated vs raffle item donations (which are just awesome BTW), I have decided that my monies are best spent on a bigger Go Fund Me donation (which will be forthcoming shortly). However, I still wanted to contribute to the raffle as well and I have time, tools and knowledge. So I will sharpen up to 10 chains (round profiles, not to exceed 36” each) and also dress, recondition/refinish and “Gun Blue” 4-6 bars (depending on lengths, not to exceed 25”). I will also pay for/reimburse for the actual round-trip shipping costs (hence the length restrictions). If someone prefers to do a lower number of longer bars, etc., I’m sure we can work something out.

Get well soon!
Scott

Very generous and cool raffle prize!

Thank you- I was trying for something useful, but unique at the same time. I should have clarified; shipping costs covered in the lower 48. Outside of that, the winner/owner will have to pay for the difference themselves.

Cheers!

Sarah,
I'll leave it up to you (and the guys) as to whether you want to separate out the chain sharpening from the bar refinishing/bluing as two different prizes or keep them together. I was just trying to combine to add some value, but I'm fine with whatever you think is best/want to do. Also, a big Thank You for managing this! :clap2:

Best regards,
Scott
