Bolts could be stretching when they get hot

I'm picking up what your laying down.........I had no leaks. Cylinder bolts were tight when I took it apart. Certainly didn't want to hold on long in your bare hands.

I'm gonna say this is the results of the aftermarket cylinder I chose. No big deal.

I have a Snap On that had never let me down. Checked a 288xp with it that I took on trade a month ago. Saw ran great but only made 126 psi. Pulled the jug off to replace rings but they looked good. Scratched my head and checked 4 others saws with the Snap On and they all made 126 psi. Bad valve core

Been there too many times. My snap on gauge is probably 20 years old. They actually changed part numbers for their schrader valves about this time last year.

I just bought an OTC. My 4th tester, and finally one that makes sense.

I built a 262 that's ate starter ropes and bloodied my hand. Scratched my head wondering why I couldn't break 165 compression. It read 238psi on the OTC.
Has anyone checked how much different there is from Elevation changes?
That 262 at my house does not seem to pull over that hard with my calibrated arm Al.
I don't know what your Elev. is at home but I'm at 1450.

I'm at 250' ASL and my garage was at 45* that day.

I was hoping it pulled lower than what I'd got. It pulled 238psi for me, and I kinda stopped pulling. I probably coulda eeked a few more out of it.

What are you getting? I know it enjoys a healthy diet of 32:1 and starter ropes.
