Combustion chamber differences.

If anyone has any questions, ask.

The chamber is small. Compression should be crazy. But that can be changed easily. This saw has plans to go west for a through check out. I won't be able to run it long enough to tell.

It has woodsported timing. 102ish/120ish/76 ish numbers. Lower transfers untouched.

I'm exhausted on trying carb set ups. Tried the 372 intake carb, can't get a filter to fit without cutting top cover. Tried to mock up a tillotson, a 371 set up. It will have stock stuff with Walbro 191 carb.

I'm just wanting to know if you get gains from the head. I like that you are using mild numbers and the stockish carb. Should make it easier to know if making the head is gonna be worth the added work.

That is my plan.:) Theoretically, I've only changed the combustion chamber. Never touched the base. Less work on raising transfers from cutting squishband and and setting squish. Intake nipple is perfectly round for sealing purposes.

I wish I had a way to monitor cylinder head temperatures when using.

Right now, it is just two machined surfaces. I am waiting on some brass shim stock to show up.

Looking good. I've been meaning to do one for a 046 or 66. I started on one but never finished it. I mocked it up on a dead cylinder.
