Echo SRM 225. Won't start up, going to start from scratch. How many turns out to start? 1? 1 1/4? Oh, b4 I forget, this is for a carb with one single adjustment screw. Thanks.

That carb is a rotary or barrel design. The one screw you see adjusts the idle speed. There are adjustments for the hi and low needles but they are not obvious. See
for helpful info on that type carb.

Surprised the EPA and FBI didn't come and arrest him. Thanks for the info.

I've never seen a 225 with only one adjustment needle. One is in the middle of the rotor, and the other is below the primer bulb.

My GT-200 and PB-250 both have this style carb. I unblocked the one near the bulb and richened it up a bit, they both run quite well. My Shindaiwa T242 is a mystery. It seems to have this style carb but I can't find any adjustments on it, even hidden under plugs.

Ok here are the adjustment locations, most ( as I am not familiar with this carb ) are turn all the way in until you feel a little resistance and then 1/2 turn out for "factory" carb starting adjustment. Im sure there are plenty of members who know this carb, and u could prob just youtube it.

There's a tool that screws into the tamper proof plugs so that you can pull them out. It's basically a threaded tip on the end.
