trying to get my carb off but unsure how to disconnect the throttle cable. Looks like the cable may have a 90* bend where it goes into the throttle. I could get it out by force but would prefer to not have to be neanderthal and break it.

Backpack Blower. PP = Poulan Pro / BP = Backpack / 30 CC in this particular model coding.

Appears to have Walbro WYA series carburetor.

Same cable setup as many Echo handhelds using Walbro and Zama rotary barrel carburetors.

Simply rotate the carburetor barrel to remove the cable from the slotted adapter. Then simple pull the cable housing and cable out of the hollow adjustment screw. The brass elbow will slide out with the cable assembly. Note adapter at the carburetor barrel will have two sides and one these recessed for the cable end to go into to allow the rotate its full rotation range.

This thread should be moved to the correct forum section ( Mowers and More) instead of Chainsaws.

Yeah. Got NO responses there so posted it here. Thanks for guidance. How hard to pull? How far to rotate?

Okay. Same tool only now it wont start. Got air, got spark, primer works. It will cough but wont start. Removed and cleaned carb; it was spotless internally. Thinking diaphragm a little stiff. Rebuild kit costs same as new AM carb. Cleaned fuel filter and even tried without filter. Even replaced seemingly squishy fuel line. Couldnt check compression with gauge cause plug is small and i have no adapter. Checked it with my thumb over spark plug hole and did feel some compression. Unfortunately i havent had my thumb calibrated in a while.
Seen where others have used AM with good results. Getting to beleaf blowing season soon.
Any comments or recommendations
