Thanks Dave :)
Have had it for 1 1/2 year, never put money into it before today, my first priority has been those sweet 2xx saws.
Even I like those 357's I still prefer 262's!

The 357 really replaced the 254, not the 262 - but for most practical reasons it also replaced the 262.
The "official" replacement for the 262 was the 362, but that didn't work well, as it was a 70cc saw with a 62cc top end = too bulky and not as well handling, with an inboard clutch.

While this is technically true we all know that nothing has ever really replaced the 262, even though the 562 is making a name for itself.

The 560 finally replaced the 262 in my book, even though it also replaced the 357 - the trouble is that it isn't sold in the US, so in the US it is the 562, with the large bar mount etc, that moves it a bit away from the 262 concept.

it started with one for 2 year ago, low hour 346 xpg OE year 2007, carbon scored, grabbed it caz I had none of them, got in toutch with the dealer I use nowadays and most has come later through him. I swapped away the 2007 model for some 550 projects, regret it alot and ended up to buy it back, wasn't so nice anymore though.

2B7C2DC5-28B0-46B3-8783-F91160F9B874.jpeg Well, I’m a 372 convert now too. Picked up a Walkerized 372xp a few months ago, and then a stock 372xpg on Thursday. Really liking these, actually sold my 359 to my dad. He really likes that saw so I passed it on to him.

Dirty old work saws that I’m not afraid to use!

I would love to hear more about the Walkerized 372.

Honestly p61, I don’t know much about it. I picked it up on kijiji from a fellow on the coast. It’s been rode hard but still really runs. It’s got a triple port muffler on it, not 100% sure if it’s ported. It has a lot more jam than the stock one, but about the same compression. If it isn’t portedi can’t wait to see what one is like when it is done. Hasn’t given me any trouble though, and we are logging 80 acres right now so it’s hard to want to pull apart my falling saws to play with them atm.
