Honestly not sure it's a bakerized ported and polished saw from timberland supply in Edmonton Alberta not a hotsaw a working saw

JJ makes everything hot, and not just in the chainsaw world. He was in the Old Navy catalog in 1998 in the cargo pants/shorts layout. He plays Bongos, and Wetht Coast Timber Faller, A chainsaw encyclopedia - He won't steer you wrong, trust me.

what does the old exhaust look like. if it was ported it should have a good muffler mod.

if you have extra money or just enjoy shiny things. buy it...

In my experience with new covers with outlets on ported Stihl brand saws is, the muffler mod your builder did is more than likely best. The outlet is nice but, the shortening of/or the overall reduced volume of the muffler can be problematic on a ported saw.
So, in short, what may work on a stock saw may not work out as good on a ported one, you'll have to try it and time the two and see, with/without.
Unless... you're with the louder it is, then the faster it must be crowd, then by all means get the new outlet cover, as they do well increasing noise levels substantially. No timing required, just ear protection and a DB Meter to see how fast it is cutting.

Not really worth any extra felt power over the preexisting muffler mod provided by your porter. It’s a fad for the hipsters and wannabes.
