Had 2 Sugar Maple trees to cut down and cut up for the neighbor today. I’m still having some endurance trouble so my buddy came over to help. First one was only 32” at the felling cut. Second one was big enough to that the 48” bar just peeked thru at the widest point. Running 75LGX, enough chips flying that it looked like a snow storm. After the second tree hit the ground my buddy turns around with a big grin and says “That thing was buried and it wanted more!” @Miller Mod Saws, great job Carl, it’s been a little over a year and this thing never fails to impress.

Have a bit to do on the big one yet before I can get all of it out of there.

Also got a bonus cutting off one of the limbs. Had to grind all the cutters back about 25% from new. Have to expect this on old farm trees.

Good one, never thought of that. I was thinking just a pipe to hook a pasture gate wire.

Went back to the 2 maple trees to noodle up the trunks and bigger limbs. Noodled the smaller one up today with the 7900. Going to need help getting the last round off the stump and stood up so I can finish noodling it.

Nice work! What do you do with all the shavings?

Since there is almost zero grass under the tree I tell them to spread grass seed then spread the shavings over the seed like straw. Works good.

I have got 8 55lbs bags of noodles in the barn now, work great for starting the fireplace

I got paid to cut the trees down, keep all the wood. I figure they could have the noodles.
