Just happened to be smoking a Country Gentleman with my all-day tobacco when I opened this thread.

Of those that I have most have been smoked multiple times daily for the last 3-5 years without any cracking. luck of the draw.🤔

I did recently misplace one and was going to order another one $17 believe my last ones were around $12:eek:
Truth be told, and to be totally transparent, I'm sure it was mostly my bad, initially, with the Country Gentleman. I only started smoking pipes a couple years ago, maybe? So, I was smoking them too hot and hitting them a bit hard at first. It took me a bit to get my cadence dialed in, and not heat things up too much. Slowing down finally, is probably why it's lasted as long as it has, even though it's cracked 2/3 of the way through.

I did have 1 cob pipe that burned out quick. Like it burnt through the bowl. I read that every now and again that does happen, and sometimes they're just "defective".

And yeah fairly frequently I’ll smoke a codger blend in the morning. I’ve been into them lately.

Sir Walter is alright in the morning when I’m getting my life together before work

I keep hearing several folks who are fans of codger blends. I haven't smoked any of them myself. I need to change that, I guess.

Edited for spelling error.

50 years ago all I knew were the drug store options Sir Walter, Borkum Riff, Prince Albert, Half n Half, Middleton.

guess that is what makes me an ole codger, did not know pipe stores existed until I got to civilized cities.:dogpile:

I’ve got tubs of everything if you wanna try the codgers. I don’t know if they still sell pouches of any of it anymore. Just tubs I know Carter hall and Prince Albert only come in tubs. But yeah I’ll hook you up if you want some
