Looks great, I would have it sent by priority mail with signature confirmation. Also couldn't hurt to call the "customer care department" when the letter is delivered and start talking to them about it. Don't let up, you can win this!

I'm pretty confident I've already won. Final resolution is still up in the air. I just hate getting my poop push in for trying to make a purchase and having done everything right on my end.

Just so you know they have been haveing problems for quite sometime with the totally integrated power modules, ,known issue in the jeep line for several years.

might want to jump to the top of the heap - Stelantis is the corporate group.

Doubtful that truck will ever run as it is supposed to.
If You take ownership of it there is a fair chance it will die on You at the worst possible moment, out of warranty.

I'd be weary going any longer distance with a "new" vehicle that was defective straight out of the factory & irreparable for over a month by an official dealership.

Good luck!
You'll need it.

The latest. Parts ordered, received and to be installed is a Hydraulic Control Unit that works with the Brake Booster. Really?

You need to hire a hit man to set that thing on fire on the dealer's lot. After all the wiring issues, it could easily be blamed as an electrical fire. ;)

Just kidding, of course, but good grief the dealership is getting ridiculous. "We'll lose money on it"? That's between them and Ram, not you. They're trying to take the easy way out by trying to make you suffer, when they need to be making a claim with Ram.

I wouldn't consider accepting the truck without the best extended warranty they have and for free. The least they could do for the hassle.
Several years ago I had a Dakota with heater core problems and they wouldn't give me any deal on a different truck. Pissed me off so I got a Toyota. Same deal, better truck, and nicer salesman. They took my trade knowing it had problems, didn't matter to them.

The newest part will be installed tomorrow, and tested. If the truck fails (and I have little hope of it fixing anything), I will talk to the General Sales Manager and see what he has to say or offer. If no joy, then I will press forward towards a complete refund.

Is there any possibility that your insurance company would consider this vechicle uninsurable or a salvaged repair?
With all the $$$$'s of repair I'd also be wary of the very diminished resale value of something that would show so much warrenty work.

At what point (dollars to repair) would your insurer consider the truck as total loss?
Say if you had the truck and somehow it were damaged. Say a collision or tree falls on it or vandalism?
Has the truck come close to that point yet?
If so, might want to mention that to the dealer and whoever you talk with further up the chain. Or if you end up with a lawyer, make sure they're thinking of that.

They are obviously chasing a ghost in the machine!

Every lemon mill my workplace purchased never overcame its lemon-nes despite extensive official repair attempts.
We have a 500k€ 2023 DMG mill, close to half its age is down time, as a matter of fact it is "defective" again for these past two weeks and the DMG mechanics can't figure out what's wrong.

It smells like the dealer is using the parts cannon. That’s not great…

If Mopar is willing to foot the bill why not. When I was a tech I replaced as much crap as I could under warranty to add tenths of an hour to jobs I was already losing my ass on. More than a few cars got all new light bulbs under warranty, I finally ran out of automotive bulbs last year. What's funny is, the service manager encouraged us to do so because somehow it looked good on whatever metric Toyota used to scrutinize "high warranty" dealers. I guess adding bunches of little warranty items to each RO made it look like Toyota was getting bad parts from suppliers or something.

My dad has become the biggest Mopar guy I know, especially Jeep. He has a 2016 Grand Cherokee 3.6 2wd and it has turned out to be a really good vehicle. The worst thing we have ever had to do on it in 190,000 miles is front calipers, which I just finished a few minutes ago. I noticed the Rock Auto house brand calipers have the exact same casting codes as the originals, they are probably the same ones as OEM.

my comment was to reflect against people that use a parts cannon because they have no clue what is wrong.

Dang it, I should have never participated in this thread. The heater suddenly quit working this morning in my 2012 Ram 1500! I really, really hope its not the blend door motor, those are not fun to replace.

This is what keeps me optimistic --

The latest part has been installed and everything is working. Service Manager will further test drive it today, and IF all is good it should be ready for pick up tomorrow.
