I have a P55s I picked a year ago and got it running

I can't get any oil to pump. I took the oil pump out and can't see any issue at all with it. Not really much to it. No restrictions in pump or the feed to line to chain. I didn't replace the o-ring on the pump it's self. They were intact.

I also checked position of pump installed and pulled engine over by hand and it is turning it.

Any experience with these?

I remember they have a lot of O rings between the outer pump housing and chainsaw case, the inner shaft just rotates and has a cupped area at the end of the shaft . You can see the shaft rotate and if the drive gear is in good condition. I have an IPL around here somewhere.

I finally got oil tonight. This oiler is unique for sure for those that don't know. The plunger side of the pump worked normally and the cam rotated but wouldn't pull oil even with bar on cutting for a while.

This one only had two o-rings. I replaced the main one on the pump shaft. Then there's a small rod that goes inside a machined groove on the pump shaft and this little shaft has an o-ring as well. Since I couldn't find a replacement for it I seal this shaft with moto seal. Then. Drilled out the inlet to the pump housing two sizes with a drill and cut the oil pick up hose a little shorter as the tip of the hose was really close to the end of the with mesh screen that goes over the end of the hose to act as a filter. I basically tried to remember e restrictions. Fired up the saw (needs a carb kit) and ran it with out a bar and it burped air out and started oiling. Since it's dark out I didn't put a bar down. It and cut yet. That will be the final test. It is putting oil out though so I'm calling it a win so far.

I probably should vac test the saw next to be sure it's good to go.
