Hello I put together a Husqvarna 2100cd and when i installed the clutch side main bearing I used an old oil pump as a stop to set the location of the main bearing, heated the crankcase and dropped the bearing in, but when i put the oil pump on it wouldn't turn when i tightend the screws. I think the oil pump needs to pull up on the bearing and not the engine case it self? I took apart another saw and measured it and the oil pump and found this was set like that

As best I recollect, both bearings go on the crankshaft as far as they can go and bottom out. Then drop in the flywheel side as far as it will go, which will index it, followed by the pto side. Everything should be in proper alignment and function properly when done in this way.

The manual says install the bearings in the cace, they have a tool for the clutch side bearing to use as a stop.

If i don't crank the oil pump mounting screws up super tight its nice and free

The oil pump has no physical connection to the crank when the clutch is off and its tight
