Been running a new Oregon 20LPX072G with matching Pro Lite bar on my Echo CS-500P since I got it new a couple months ago. I notice this full chisel chain stays sharp as long as any other but just doesn't seem to have as much bite as I am used to. You have to use a fair amount of pressure in the cut to get good chips, otherwise you get fine sawdust. Checked the rakers with the Oregon gauge, the spec is .025. They don't come up over the gauge but they are about flush with it, I guess we could call this a "tall" .025. I'm thinking a few swipes of the file might help it out. What say you? Or, am I worrying about nothing?

Either the cutter isn't good an sharp or depth gauge is a touch high. Usually if you dig into the saw to make it cut it's usually just the chain gettin a touch dull. Could really be either but I'd guess they both need tweaking.
