I'm too cheep to collect.

I didn't know they made a chainsaw, I wonder if it is the same model airplane Cox company. Looks toyish enough to be. Probably worth a ton to Cox collectors.

Yes, same Leroy M. Cox of the Cox model engines. that saw is called the beaver. You can totally tell Mr. Cox decided to make a chainsaw without researching how to build a chainsaw. They are definitely not seen everyday.

Sweet, I had some of their line control planes when I was a kid. Never knew they made any engines big enough for a saw!

Wassup with all these tiny gear drive saws from back in the day? I would think that is the last thing a tiny saw needs: more weight and lower chain speed.

Gotta remember, when these saws were made, men were men, and so were the ladies, and the kids were all above average...

It looks like they took a 2 stroke engine, mixed in parts from a bunch of random power tools, and this is the result. I was surprised to learn that Jo-Bu survived into the early 80's.
