@huskihl @srcarr52 2100 crank…? Or would the stroker not work with the existing portage?
Doubt the timing will work.

Someone mentioned incorrect rings. That’s possible, as oem uses 1.5mm and Meteor uses 1.2mm. Should be able to see that through the exhaust port

Just a weekend Warrior here…..;)

that play in the crank is “crank bearings… your pics of the big end could be a bad big end…. Or it could be wear due to the bad crank bearings..
If you were to take the crank and check if the was any play..then I’d replace the crank.. it be hard to check the big end with bad crank bearings in situ ..

but as for anyone ymmv.. and your the one that’s paying o_O

My video :

side note: anyone ever tried to date a 395 without the serial No.?
Yep same problem I had, the flywheel movement test confirms it.
With the crank in your hand it was almost impossible to tell, just the slightest movement. But when connected to a piston in the machine it is noticeable. When running it sounds like a tractor, just like yours

I bought an aftermarket crank in which it was not machines correctly I believe. In the end I just shelled out for oem and have not have a problem.
