With a 24" bar a 572,462,500 are so close only the cookie club will notice.

28 it shows up a little.

After that a 500 shows it's displacement advantage.

It's that simple.

I’ve actually never seen it compared to a smaller saw. I’ve seen the 500 run against or compared to the 660, 661, 390, 592, 585 much more than I’ve seen it running against smaller saws. People seem to think it’s magic but it’s really just another 79cc saw
I think the best thing to compare it to would be a Dolmar 7900. They are pretty much the same size and weight as the early 7900

Just looked on his channel and found the video below. Unsurprisingly saws of the same size cut about the same.

If you cut all day how much fuel will drink 500i and how much 572xp ?

Does the number of wood chips in the vicinity of the air filter affect the calculation of cuts per ounce as much as it factors into fatigue due to the added weight?
Does the number of cuts per ounce go up as the chain wears down due to less rotational weight?

That needs tested...
