Oil questions...

So I'm running a mtronic 462 at 40:1 is there a point where the system would get thrown off from to much oil? Can I do 32:1? Amsoil dominator is what I'm running right now.

I just mixed up a gallon of dominator at 36:1 and have been running it through my 5 series husqvarna's, it may be placebo, but I think the saws run better and make more power, after i burn through it Im going to mix at 32:1 and see how it goes and hopefully stay there.

Ive read a few posts that mention dominator at 32:1 and saws running properly.

I believe more oil has been proven to raise compression.

I have run amsoil dominator at 32:1 in every saw I have ported in the last 4-5 years

Depends on how you look at it. Going from 2.6 up to 4 ounces per gallon is 50+% more oil

Not quite right. 50% more than 2.6 would be 3.9, pretty close though.

4 ounces per gallon is 32:1.
I said 50+ percent. It’s actually 53.8%. Seems quite right to me lol

As have I, 32-ish on break in saws and 40-1 on most everything else unless it seems to be a extra hot running saw or its mid summer and like 100 degrees out. I hate cutting in those conditions

3 to 4 oz. per gallon give or take a splash is the precise amount I use for optimum performance and longevity.

It doesn't.
It adjusts for the variables that effect fuel to air ratio on the fly.

Not so simple. Thicker oil and lower temperatures and m tronic is kaput.

that's what i thought it did. it fattens it up when the air filter get restricted is what i thought.

I believe its the opposite. Filter gets clogged, less air gets in. It leans the engine out to maintain rpm.

And when the temp changes, humidity changes, altitude changes, load changes, oil ratio changes, fuel changes etc.
