Around here. I’ve seen more of the 266 style. I’ve only came across a couple of the 272 type. Not sure why? I have one of each. And I’m not letting go of the one on my 268. Were there any aftermarket ones available back in the day?

A question:
The front rear in my truck is being converted from the 97' GMC thermal actuator to the servo motor newer type 99+

I forget if the extension plug I need to make is 3/4"L x 1"W or 1"L x 3/4"W ?

Does it have the single wire actuator with a separate 2 wire switch above it in the extension housing?

I'm not sure what your asking, but I vaguely recall installing a harness that tapped into the T-case switch and connected a newer style actuator.
That's all pretty ancient history for me though
