.270 Winchester for me.
That’s one of those cartridges that’s definitely tried and proven. It’s also one that I’ve seen wound deer to the point that I’ve personally developed a hatred for. Lol. Don’t think I’ll ever get over it

It's got a older Charles Daly scope on it that doesn't hold zero anymore. What scope do you have on yours?
Bushnell something or other... can't remember what model. It's a 3-9x40. Thing shoots great and likes about 56g of IMR4350 behind a Nosler 165 ballistic tip. Best three shot group was just under 5/8" at 100 yards.

Shot em wif just about everything that there is at one time or another. .300 Winchester was a little messier seemed like. .280 and 7mm Remington cartridges worked well too, just kept going back to the .270 as it just worked so well every time. Bullet selection matched with the velocity probably has more to do with it than anything.

Without a doubt any of the .300 Magnum's will definitely reach out and touch something with authority when it gets there and I surely am not knocking something that I did myself. Just got old I guess.

Good morning guys,
It’s pouring rain so we’ve cancelled the hunting day. Whatever tracks get washed away for Øsa.

That’s why it’s called a Bushmaster and not a Fieldmaster. :D
.300 Mag ftw
I bought one Steyr Mannlicher SBS 96 Full Stock back in 2002, limited caliber choice and I did not wanted a yankee caliber, for that reason I ended up with caliber 7x64 Brenneke. It has become my favourite.

.280 puts em out for me if I need to use a smoke stick.
