While a ride is possible technically speaking right now, just not as practical as it would seem, yes we have plenty of snow and groomed trails that are open, the old air cooled machines however need cold air to stay running and a warm spell is not good for them. Also the all the early snow isn't necessarily all a blessing either, it came when the lakes just started forming ice and hinders further ice development, so the many lakes that interconnect trails are not safe to run on yet.
It's early yet though and plenty of winter time left to get out and have some fun, so it's a good time to get things ready for when the time comes.
