Cool, gotcha. I got my daily driver there, ex pizza delivery car with 48k miles. Dirty af, $1k out the door in 2015. Friend got a '01 7.3 Excursion for $600, marked as flood damage but had none. Does your son follow SamCrac or AutoAuctionRebuilds? It's crazy how many good vehicles get totalled out for the smallest of damage. Imo it's BS, I've seen cars totalled for a dent in the door.

Insurance companies got burned hard on flood recoveries after Katrina and Sandy. If they even get their feet wet they're done. To many electronic /computer issues down the road to chance it.

Bikes are that way too, they'll total one at the drop of a hat. I used to buy them and swap the frame off a bike with a good title that was actually totalled, I've done a good number of them, more someday in the future.
