Good afternoon fellas. Got my 346 mostly back together. Not getting full throttle with the hda 199 though. Might need some bending of the throttle rod.

Did you also use the 357/359 filter/filter holder?

Yep sure did. Followed Tree Monkeys video on rebuilding the 199, and it doesn't want to run right either. Thinking about leaving it alone for a little bit.

Did you trim out the carb floor around the choke/ kill switch. That needs to be done or the throttle won't work right. I can get pics if you need a visual.

Your carb is probably wonky. I've seen the whole front of the muffler hacked out.

I melt the pads off when I drive these midsize jobs. Very inadequate brake pad area, just sad. HD pickups is about where real brakes start.

Yeah I don't understand why the automakers are afraid of big brakes.

Not yet, but maybe it could be. I cleaned all of the passages real good. Seems odd that it would need that much fuel though. Left it up at the shop. Going to go dick with it in a few.

My buddy was looking at a new Chevy that had 22's. Told em that was deal breaker.

Yeah the owners son has one of those, had to call my boss first time it snow to ask how to turn the 4x4 on.
