Little FYI for you fellas...

From a fiscal year standpoint, FY19 which will change over Oct 1st to FY20...we have produced 34 of 38 C-17’s to date. We have yet to miss a delivery date back to the squadrons in over 15 years...not a single aircraft late delivery. Two of the remaining four will get airborne and gone next week, the third will leave possibly by the end of next week, more likely week after next. The fourth C-17, we’re kinda *f-worded on...not only complete overhaul maintenance, avionics, infrared countermeasure upgrades, etc...it’s been awaiting an entire RH side main landing gear swap. After five months of waiting for the landing gear which was freight trucked in last week, a forklift operator on a 10K forklift cut across the hangar door opening at an off angle...understand the hangar doors sectionally ride in railroad tracks in the concrete...he spilled the f’ng main landing gear. It wasn’t strapped down worth a *s-word, etc and moving too fast on the forklift. It turned into a $4 million dollar *f-word up quick, within a minute of bringing the landing gear into the hangar.

We may be looking at our first black eye in many years of on-time delivery. But I don’t think so...two C-17’s are currently here for the FY20 deal...one of those will get jacked next week on six, 60-ton jacks, and an entire RH side main landing gear swap will miraculously take place.

High dollar civil service, upper management, and the collared stars have already spoken...if you think two and three star Generals who run AMXG and AFMC, who have to answer to four star Generals, are going to take a black eye over this spill *s-wordt...Judas Priest couldn’t have sang it better...’You Got Another Thing Coming.’ The hydraulics and landing gear boys will be working seven days a week as of start of next week.

If you think a two star Commanding General is gonna take a black eye over this *s-wordt, and eat a career *f-word up sandwich...you better rethink things real quick...and payroll and money is not even in the equation...this bird will get airborne and leave Robins AFB, come hell or high water, by the third week of Sept!

Big locust I took down for a friend this morning. His house is about four feet behind the stump.

I see T&G flooring for a workshop. Starter base/strip for rustic siding and cold night firewood.

Here’s something for you f’rs trying to build pianos and Space Shuttles, when you need it to the ten thousandths...

Pretty damn good, solid built, spot on digital calipers. I ended up with two because I posted a two-star review regarding the first caliper. The screen acted a little erratic on the first...little did I know replacing the LR44 battery with a Duracell 357 was the trick...both are 1.5v button cells...go figger. The seller on Amazon immediately contacted me via Amazon messaging and sent me another new, replacement caliper, free of charge. Can’t argue with that kinda business model. Both calipers read dead nuts on gauge blocks, drill bits (drill bits have a +/- of generally .005), etc. Again...we ain’t building Mars Rovers here...For $25 bucks, you can’t beat ‘em. Made and sold by REXBETI on Amazon. And you get your flavor...either black on the bar or stainless. They convert three ways...mm, English, fraction. They ain’t Mitotoyo, if I even spelled that correctly, you get the gist, by no means...but they’re pretty damn good calipers and well worth the dollar.

592B898F-23CE-44A5-87AF-C65F90C9D1C4.jpeg If you folks want some drill press table clamps... I highly suggest these, Armor-Tool...on Amazon. About $30 bucks each, well worth the money, and can get rid of that vise adjustment *s-wordt. I’ve got a 3” and 6” pair...they clamp at the same pressure with a small thumbscrew, regardless of the height of material. The 6” opens to 4.25 inches height, the 3” clamp opens to 2.5 inches. Pretty damn good clamps to drill in wood or metal.

I just got home from yesterdays wedding! It was an incredible event! It was an unplugged ceremony and they asked that everyone turn devices off and put them away. The good part of that is everyone was tuned into the ceremony and not running around trying to take pictures. The bad part is we have no pictures! Yet! Here are a couple I got from the photographers Instagram page! I stopped in a Amish store on the way home and they did not know any Rodney, Wadney, Hot Rod or any other name we call him! New territory for you @leadfarmer! Look out Punxsutawney Amish!
