We are in the weird situation that most Provinces have added today as a Holiday but the Federal Gov't doesn't recognize it as a holiday. My wife had to use a Vacation Day to stay home with us today and mail will still be delivered.

It’s the same deal here. Provincial holiday.

What holiday?

In Manitoba we have Louis Riel Day, most other provinces have it just as Family Day.

A few years back someone decided we needed a winter long weekend to break up the time between New Years and Easter and this is what we have.
