Not only has everyone here gone to trusses but the stairs are all built off site in a factory, hauled to site and then installed.

If you know how to read a framing square, you can cut all simple gable rafters, hip rafters, king rafters/jack rafters, etc, etc from the saw horse, knowing the pitch of the roof. I haven’t been the saw man in years...I’m sure I’d *f-wordk it up by now...and it’d be “gimmee that measurement.”

...whether they’re birds mouth tail ends or cantilever rafters ends...cantilever ain’t nothing but a simple pitch cut.
