My oldest sister bought a 1983 renault le car
Another sister bought a geo metro
This was in early 2001 or 2002
It was a never ending job
Keeping either running they didn't last more than a year.
I offered them chevy citations i had bought in 1996
A 1984 and a 1985
200.00 for both of them
My sister's wouldn't drive them so I drove them to work for 10 year's
Until i got tired of them
Bulletproof car's ugly as hell.

Is that an RT or an LT(?) back there under the green tank?
Funny how Yamaha put the mechanical timing advance on the 175 & 360. That and the reed valve/piston porting gave nice grunt on the bottom and nice a powerband for powerslides in the trails.

Rt360 it's rough found in the woods I'm told.
Back in the 90s
I knew Charles wolf and nip Parsons
They both were master mechanics and machinists from the early 1960s on
Nip worked for year's at a yamaha shop.
Charles was a hill climbing champion
Nip rode too.
They'd port the dt250 and rt360 and later the dt400s
And cut the pistons as they called it.
And built custom pipes for them.
I'd like to find bike's they built
To look at the machine work.
They bordered on being uncontrollable
I rode xt and tt 500s so i was used to torque.
But the power of those little bike's put out
Was hard to handle climbing hills.
A different guy had new in crate 1971 bronze rt360
And a new in crate 1978 xt500 i tried my best to buy them
He wouldn't sell.
He was a motocross racer back then.
I miss the old bikes new bike's are designed to be rebuilt monthly it seems.
