Lets do some Basic Math 101 here real quick. Aluminum drip pans for my Weber Genesis II LX640, six-burner grill. Weber wants $11.99 for 10 throw-away aluminum drip pans...or you can buy 50 aftermarket pans for $14 on Amazon. WTF!

Little food for thought and I forgot to mention this last night concerning the Seiko 5 Automatic watches, if any of you folks might be interested in buying one. NEVER, NEVER, EVER change the day/date window between the hours of 9pm and 4am...you can ruin the rotation/cycle of the day/date window in one shot. Most Seikos come with three options...either English, English/Spanish or English/Arabic for the day. You simply set it to your preference. Do not fool with it btwn 9pm to 4am. Doesn’t matter if the Seiko has a ‘J1’ or ‘K1’ suffix. J1’s are assembled in Japan, K1’s are assembled in Malaysia nowadays. Same internal parts/guts. The J1’s assembled in Japan simply command another $25 or so over the K1’s to watch gurus...they’re the same Seiko watch no matter how you add it or stack it.

I’m gonna start charging you folks for this kinda knowledge...lol!

You ungrateful bastiges...trying to learn you boys somethin’...I hope all your watches fail...take that *s-wordt!

My 13 year old Casio G Shock is on its 8 or 9th band but still charges, keeps time, keeps the date and illuminates as needed. Spent $38 on it, left me plenty of extra for dinner and beer.

Casio’s are good watches...their ‘illumintor’ series watches are spot on nowadays. It took ‘em a while for years to get their movements right...but they’re good timepieces. If hunting a watch for under $100 bucks, it’s the way to go!

Ain’t this the rule with all automatic watches?

I have no idea how it actually messes things up but have always been told that by old crusty watch dudes.

Ha.

$38 works great for being over a decade old with multiple deployments.
