Standard for the crib is 230v here and 380v for the stove 50Hz.

If you bring a US alarm clock and run it on a transformer it will lose time due to hertz difference.

Our electricity is stronger obviously, but the 60Hz in NA is much faster. If you are talking electric motors, the 60 Hz (cycles) is 20% faster and more efficient (more RPM's for the amount of energy used).

One nifty ass thing about the electric is the wiring. Only 3 wires and live (L) and neutral (N) can be reversed without a problem, then of course ground is ground.
