Cottonmouth moccasins. Yep, we has em. Ornery bastids they is. They like the swamps. Dont see many rattlesnakes. I have black snakes and Kingsnakes that take care of the Copperheads for me.

When I lived in North Carolina, they were everywhere it seemed. Big....and ill tempered.

A guy I used to work with was a brick mason for 37 years. He's got some big ole meat hooks from 37 years of pinching block, great big shoulders and upper back too. :coleman:

Them boys work hard.
Unfortunately it does take a toll on your body but I really enjoyed it though,as a kid I always wanted to be a Brickie

Too much of a good thing for me, I'm quite fond of my morning constitution.
Naw man. I have no desire to learn how to walk in snowshoes.

See? The cold has done twisted your brain.
That's what the snowmobiles are for.

Had one of them great big black bastids come from behind and slither by right next to me, about came out of my boots, before I had time to realize what it was.

I'll stick with our garden snakes.

I built two brick pillars at the end of my driveway. Took me a good bit of time. I'd have to get $5.00 a brick to make any money at it. LOLView attachment 253242

The old mason I worked with and I were on a volunteer job, laying pavers for a new pavilion at one end of a small town square. We were laying 9" drain pavers, his end of the pavilion was about 14' wide. He was averaging 40 courses a day by himself and running his own hod. I was averaging about six courses a day and I had the easy end. :(

Rattlesnakes are fine. They eat rodents.
Negative sir. Ain't no cottonmouths up here on the Cumberland Plateau.

Copperheads.....yep.

Rattlesnakes.....sure.
The pine rattlesnakes are timid compared to those copperheads down here in the swaps. I'll send you a few ;) mean mfers.
Got bit before from invading his pond. Makes you ill too. Two old mean mfers together at last :D
