The picture you posted looks like gypsy moth caterpillars, but they usually love maple trees.

Not always so. Watched them bassturds kill white oaks and white pines over a decade. I been sprayed several times for those bassturds as a teenager in the wrong place at the right time. The sound they make consuming large blue spruce is bone jarring up close whilst they are chitting all over you. A flame thrower comes to mind from time to time.


The best defence is to cut out the webs before they crawl and burn the mfers imo. Do it right then right there in a barrel. While your at it burn those damn black beatles killing hardwoods now. They attack the collars and limb bases. After the wick affect is gone so is your tree. One season is all it takes with these new bugs.

We now have some pretty lantern beetles moving in near by. It never ends with commerce and International trade being so fast now days.

My parents used to get some type of tent worms , especially on Cherry trees. They lived just outside of White Cloud, Mi.

Bag worms get the white cedar cultivars here. Hanging bandits. Burn them also.

Florida, Commiefornia, New York...looks like the absolute three *s-wordholes of the US got us trapped on the perimeter...guess the only way of escape is right up the middle north to Canada...but who would make the conscious decision to live in that *s-wordhole...

I was in Daytona for Bike Week years ago. Had fun and stuff. No complaints about my time there. But I like where I live.

I did Biketober Fest, just the end two days in Daytona and switched out the next week for a 52ft brady new houseboat out of Holly Marina on the St. Johns river... I think. It was a hoot with two couples and the places we hit up. I was warned by the PA towers water mounted pole cam, near a military base there, to back off the bombing range because they were serving lunch shortly on the lake, Lake George maybe. Nasty lil thing they dropped off about a mile down range. The guys stopped by in there chase boats afterwards. Little boats like our Boston Whalers here, like the NJMP run. Rude 175 or 200 on the back of sub twenty footers. Scary fast.
Night fishing the front deck while blasting the tunes, grilling *s-word and getting smashed was too much fun. 35ft sun deck. We lived well, very well indeed. You have to just know when and where to go. Spending the nights in cold water springs and watching the millions of fish migrate to gator free cold waters was too cool. Sunfish under the boat and gators coming up the back deck for bacon grease I dumped. They tried... the girls were freaked out and pissed at me after breakfast on the lake cove one morning.

I like the west coast gulf to in Pensacola. Did you know New Orleans is closer than one might think at night in a brady new rented purple mark eight FoMoCo 141mph.. tops out quick to. Crossed the bay bridge in under four minutes heading west.

All good memories down south from VA onward but one little ticket in NC 104 in a 65 zone. My only mistake was having only one dash mounted forward jammer. That was real a pleaser there. He was on the mountain side waiting, hidden. 585 clams, meh

I could take you to a bar in WV and when you run out of money to buy rounds, leave. You wouldn't last a week there. They have to know you as a local or invited guest. It ain't Ireland man. NYC is more friendly than some bars I've been in south of the Manson Dixon line down to the big woods in southern Appalachia. Know your place or will soon find it. I fit right in down there. Not your typical "Jersey Shore" guy, pun intended. Few places left like that in the pines.
