I work with a guy who sells bees and there’s big money in them
He said a pound of bees are between 200 and 300 bucks
A hive will have 2 or 3 pounds of bees

Around here the bees aren't worth as much because their odds aren't as great to make it through a winter. A five box hive though, which is where we should be next year or the one after, produces 50+lbs of honey a year. We have one box of local bees and the original is some sort of hybrid from down southXEurope. I think. She's the one in charge and doing all the research. I just help her and relax watching those bishs flap their little wings off.
