I did my share of cutting up in my days with bikes...started off on a Honda XR-75 back in the late 70’s...gravitated through RM-125’s/250’s, KX-125’s, Yamaha 125’s/250’s. I’m sure it’s like riding a bike...just gotta get used to how they react, and when you need to react body-wise, lean, etc. I’d love to get on one, one day.

Well we managed not to spend several thousand on a trailer today. Not sure if we are any closer to having a clue if we want to or not. I’d need a bigger track to tow most things that Tamara liked...

I've got a real nice tent....

No doubt...I don’t have 8-9 months off a year with state pay...I guess it puts a little ‘crimp’ in my yearly schedule.
i dont know where you get the 9 months at but its ok i have my bills paid i go to work to buy saws and bank money and i dont have acushy office job i work in heat and get in areas where its not real healthy and soon when they start with the heat wrap stress ill be welding right where the heat is applied at over 400 degrees
so no pussies need to be around so i guess when you want to compare apples to oranges we can

Most versatile for bonding steel and dissimilar metals.

If you are looking for sympathy its in the dictionary; somewhere between *s-word and syphilis. I take it you get paid well, so you must have to work pretty hard for it. Crap conditions are crap conditions.

I understand your reference to not having a cushy office job. I’ve never had one; almost always worked outdoors and mostly in *s-wordty conditions. Ain’t easy, ain’t fun, hard on the body and requires strong will and pushing beyond your bodies capabilities on a daily basis. We all make our choices in what we do for work. I don’t pass judgement on anyone for what they do or where they do it. If anything I am now jealous of someone who works in a climate controlled facility.

I have 3 decent tents. I am too old and broken for sleeping on the ground.

I used to spend 3 weeks a year living in a tent. Now...it's just two.

I don't sleep on the ground either. I use a cot......well, this past year I sprung for a nice air mattress.

With a good setup, tent camping is great in my book.
