Fix your balls son! The beatings will...
Carry on private

Welp this has been coming for a while and today is the day unfortunately.

Do we have any threads covering going off the grid part time? If not, tia

Today is the day for us to make it happen. We are already down for days here, no power, and more bad weather coming. Still quiet around here... and no saws humming.
What sucks is doing this outside while rolling storms are still moving through. Suppose to be milling and hauling more cherry and oak slabs if they ever get cut. Everytime I leave home and come back the hood looks more beat up this week. Going to start on an alternative electric system for our hut. Gens, batteries, charges on and off the grid, pv, windy gens..., all of it. I'm just starting out bare bones like most homesteaders do and move up from there.

Need to harness some more of this 5k screaming away out in the yard. The sign wave inverter box is 3k run to 6k surge. My batteries are smaller than I thought but easily updated. 195 reserve standard lead acid 1000ca x 4 for now.

How long will that push my Samsung four door fridge IDK but it is the most efficient home unit in that size. R600 set up with blast chillers in it.
We only have a job site gen so it is pull start only but one and done like it should be. Three years this big one was stored dry with fresh oil. Popped on one pull and ran on the second pull. Updating to an auto start soon. Maybe gas if the diks will ever run a line to us. All my neighbors have natural gas. They have many excuses.
The other stuff like AC's go down when I cut the gen. Windows get the 585 watt mini's I keep handy and the 700w remote control. High sear little jobs are nice kept waiting. The octopuss has landed Might consider a switch box. A fan running and phones on is about all we charge at night so it will be nice killing that beast till I have a minute to make up one of my super quiet mufflers. Not much time to even catch up on reading anything here but hey at least it's brutal hot and humid my index here just hit 103 it's 92 already o_O

Evening hackets

What makes you think that isn’t Wayne with his feet crammed in some J-Red clogs?
Brutal Wayne. I thought you we ready for the dungeon and dragons night in the underground.

We have A/C, internet and wifi.
Those blast chillers kick ass.

Now it's time to leave again, go look at broken trees and get some petrol.
