Mornin
Rollercoaster day...
Woke up our daughter Ryleigh to wish her a happy seventeenth birthday. Exemplary fine human being, beautiful young lady and enjoyable company to be around. We did good, real good. She has had it pretty tough lately just stuck here with us and occasional visits to her grandparents on there back deck outside... still staying apart. She is pretty tight with those two... Kim's mom and her husband. The only other people in her life but school and dance classmates. That's online only now. It's real hard for them three right now. It's been just us five for the most part the past few years now.
Loki didn't show up for breakfast... my young stray cat that moved in about a year ago. She was skinny and scared so I stared to feed her with winter coming and knowing she would not come inside. Green eyes and black hair and so sweet and scared she was. She warmed up to being petted and hanging out. Kim started brushing her just yesterday. She really liked it here...was always talking and just around. Misty, Ryeighs blue Korat, didn't like her but Adelaide aka Addy, Kims torty, did. Those two stay inside most times but do come out on the porch or hid in the bushes to eat grass before being chased out and back to the porch.
I was up late grinding chain till two thirty. I never grind chain late or at night, outside. She wasn't around last night either... odd I thought. Walked out front and found her dead in the street early this morning. No reason a born feral cat should be run down in a residential neighborhood posted at twenty five. Diks speed by here at sixty plus all the time. The neighborhood kids have been lucky so far. Lok could climb anything and catch rabbits, birds or anything she wanted. All the *s-word in the world going sideways around here and she never makes two years old, shame. She was an excellent hunter... made me jealous. She was also featured in my daughters art work this year. Lok made it in one of a thirteen parts series of photos that became themed paintings in a series of Ry's AP portfolio. She chose us.
Hence the rollercoaster day. We have a meeting tonight to have Bday cake at the grandparents place. I have get back to moving logs, hiho.
