Gents, i’m not one to ask but I feel I need to. Gonna need some prayers.

My buddy i’ve known since high school had a mishap with a tree last night. He is a home improvement contractor and does firewood on the side. He was working on a good sized maple with a broken main leg that was still attached and resting against the ground. He cut it, the main broke free and hit him and then the trunk fell onto the downed branch and bounced up and hit him again. As of now he is in ICU awaiting surgery.

Fractured skull, broken facial bones, his nose is basically hanging on by a little bit around his nostrils, left eye out of socket, broken jaw, 2 broken vertebra in his neck, dislocated shoulder, broken clavicle, broken scapula, 6 broken ribs.

He got hit, picked up his saws, climbed into his truck, drove down to the house, parked the truck and walked inside and sat down in a chair. He had no idea how bad off he was. One TOUGH bastid.

I’ve been here since early cleaning up all the blood off the porch, the inside/outside of his truck and the equipment so the kids wouldn’t see it all.

He is the sole earner in his household with 3 kids (2 girls and a boy) and no telling how long he will be out of work. Not asking for money, just some thoughts and prayers.

Sending good vibes and strength. Sounds like he's gonna need both.

Being caught up?

What the hell is that?

My Stihl connection tells me that Bryan Equipment and North East Stihl both set sales records this quarter.

I've noticed an increase in my work load as well.

I really expected a downturn, but it never happened.
I slowed down for about a month in March. Only had one saw here to port, so I put together some 044’s and some little jreds to sell. A month later there were 20 here

Just before the shutdown came I got a pile of saws and then heard nothing but crickets for a month when the shutdown started. All of a sudden folks came out of the woodwork and really piled on.

Prayers for your friend Buck. I'd say that's about enough of this kind of stuff for a while. Damn trees...

As an update of my friend, he's still in the hospital, no one can see him, not even his wife because with the bad lung/s that would finish him off. Ribs are not just broken but in pieces. That will be dealt with once his lungs are healed up okay. They told him he could not leave until he could walk up and down the hallway three times, he ripped the IV out of his arm and the tube up his nose and went and did just that. Doctor said he never saw such a tough little m'fer.

Damn that's rough
Hope he's ok.

More have been killed or maimed by small tree's than large.
