Talk about an outstanding Monday...college daughter Katie who graduates 4 yrs of Nursing School college in two months, had an interview today with a very prominent hospital here in mid-Ga. She wants to start her fire, her deal with ICU. Both NICU (Neuro ICU) and STICU (Surgical Trauma ICU) want her...same Hospital Administrator is over both. She’s got either job when she comes home...has to make her decision within two weeks which ICU she wants to work. The ICU deal will work well towards her ultimate outcome...Nurse Anesthetist. You gotta have the clock time in RN/ICU units to ever get it, and future schooling follows. She wants to jump in the ICU fire now...and I’m damn proud of her doing this from the get-go. It’s crazy money to start.
This is what her mother and I have pumped thousands and thousands of dollars into...it’s been a very costly ride, it’s coming full circle now, at least the first 4-yr deal.
When that beautiful young lady walks that stage in May to get that RN Bachelors’ Degree...all that classroom, all those on-site clinicals for months and months and months...will come full circle.
This is my baby, this is Kaitlyn Howard...this is her thunder...and this is her time to shine!
