NOS is what I was looking for. I might end up ordering from the bearing supplier in town. They're an authorized SKF dealer. Can't risk using junk.

I wouldn't be afraid to run any "big name" bearing in a power saw as long as it's c3 rated and accredited member of the world bearing association. I just ordered a set of Timken seals for an old American power saw, I see no reason not to try out their bearings as well for example. One thing is you can tell the difference between a knock off and the real deal by spinning it in your fingers, should be smooth as glass. Also, if I am doing a big rebuild with lots of high dollar parts involved the few extra dollars for bearings from Husqvarna or Stihl aren't that big of a deal in comparison to what's being risked, so...

I have had good luck with the Nachi bearings. I get the ones with the seals as they are cheaper (don’t know why) and just peal the seals out. Knock on wood haven’t had one fail yet. I did have 2 SKFs fail and I wonder if they were knockoffs; only lasted about a month. I ate a crank, crank seals and a piston on that deal.

talking with my friend last night
he was one of two supervisors for a outfit
that work's for a city they all have supplied phone's and are always on call and have each other's numbers.
one of his guy's "tim" collapsed at work so he took him to the hospital.
tim was real sick and out of delirium
or misdiagnosis etc. he thought he was going to die.
so my buddy gets a call from tim he was all drugged up and not feeling any pain.
I'm on the way out and wanted to thank you
for being a fine fellow and a great boss
you've always been good to me.
tim called all the other guy's and was polite and pleasant and wished them a good life.
then he calls mark the other supervisor
i wanted to tell you how much i hate you
you piece of *s-word
*f-word you.
welp he recovered and went back to work a couple weeks later
he just laughed at mark and said i must've been sick
i don't remember anything.

I was at the DMV one day and the computers crashed so I texted my coworker "*s-word crashed just crashed! That NOPE Brandon must work here too.

I sent that to Brandon not Al lol.

Got a Husqy 350 here with a lean run cyl and piston. Do i do another 350 cyl or run a 346 cyl on it?? I’ll leave it up to you kids to make that decision for me.

Tree fordy 6 brutha!

I've been in contact with eBay seller "SHORENUTZ" he's an authorized distributor for Nachi. Trans-bearing is the parent company and it checks out through Nachi USA's website.
The place I got mine is JSB Great Bearings. Metal shielded they are. Going to pop off the side facing the crankcase.

Guy out of Jersey, right? I think he uses a distributor in FL. Or vice versa. That’s who I buy the Nachis through when i order them. Good price but shipping is usually pretty slow.

don’t you have to pop both sides off so the seals are lubricated as well? What if that outside shield works loose, will it interfere with the bearing? Serious questions, not being a smartass

If I’m in a hurry I get the Nachi bearings through shorenutz. If I’m just re-supplying, I can get them a little bit cheaper from a guy in Greece. Some have the rubber seals and some have the metal shields, but I believe they’re the same inside. Usually I only buy from the other guy if I’m buying 30 or 40 bearings at a time.

Yeah was $56 for ten with tax. I have a few in my drawer so slow shipping won't bother much.

Take out both seals Mikey. Then scrape out most of the grease and put that side towards the crank, the leftover grease will quickly wash out.

Not to sure I have never left the shields in. I'm doing now as a recommendation from Jacob @jacob j. He says he's done it for quite awhile now.
