The power company has neglected to do line maintenance for years. They have been at fault for many big forest fires, so now when it's windy they turn the power off.

A good buddy of mine spent two years between Oroville and Porterville doing line clearance on PG&E ground. He fell some snags that were well over 7' that had been standing for years. He said there's hundreds of thousands of big snags in PG&E's right-of-way that need to be cleared out. He was pulling down about $700/day.

Good money to be made for sure. They should have been doing this along time ago. Tomorrow they will turn off power to 850,000 people.

It's not the saws. It's the crap gas combined with full synthetic oil that everyone uses. Use the same gas with cheap conventional dino oil and most of the carb problems go away. At the expense of some carbon buildup
